Peaks: In Disguise
Byron Bay. There really isn’t much I can say. I was so surprised at how awesome this place is. I have heard so much about this place, but in all our travels we had never ventured this far East. Yes, Byron Bay is situated on the eastern most point of mainland Australia.
Im not sure what I was expecting, but what I got was such a surprise. Amazing weather, friendly people, incredible shopping, and amazing photography. This is a a place I could truly see myself settling in and setting up my gallery at the end of my travels.
What was only going to be a short stay, turned into a two week jaunt, and what a welcome it was. It was just what we needed to get back to into the swing of travelling full time.
In this image, we ventured to the southern beaches of Byron Bay. Here we experienced deserted, unpatrolled beaches that really were paradise. For me, this image took back to my roots of imaging making. I can see how this image could be seen as a mountain peaks stretching through wispy clouds, but, in fact, these are rocks no more than 1 metre tall being surrounded by the outgoing tide.
Using my lee filters, I was able to get this image that not just looks great, but really rekindles my love for ocean side photography.
